For me: - Masto users are normal, though a bit basic :blobshrug: - Masto rightoids are dying lolbert boomers 👴 - Masto shitlibs will suck up and bow down to blue dog, neolib Biden, then ban minorities and leftists for making mistakes they'll apologize for - Pawoo users need to fucking die 🔥🔥🔥 - Pleroma users are a mixed bag, but overall chill like 2000s internet users :aryahey: - Pleroma+Soapbox users are scary motherfuckers :nkoScared: - Minds users use rightoid Tumblr :neofox_thumbsdown: - Akkoma users are either lovely, cuteposting fellas :blobcatheart: or like the neighbor's kid but trans :neofox_kisser: - Misskey users are (unironically) creative :neocat_thumbsup: - Firefish users are like Akkoma users, but with MFM and numerous other features to fuck around with :aryaglasses: - Masto fork users (Chuckya, Glitch-Soc) are jealous of Firefish users :neofox_glare_sob:
P.S.: How the fuck did you manage to find a GoToSocial, Pixelfed, or GNU Social user?
P.S.: That event was initially just, since rich men being allowed to pay themselves out of the draft will always be fucking stupid, but it became about race, unfortunately. Honestly, that's why it's nice to see many socialists also being socially progressive (the working class must stick together, no matter what).
@Moon@shitposter.club I guess it became easier for me to also use Bluesky after Jack left. It no longer seemed like controlled opposition to me, since why the fuck would I trust the literal founder of the Twitter shitnexus to suddenly support a less abusable protocol. Even though I would still not consider that service since the Fediverse is already home (and because of its paltry character limit lol), It's at least something to consider noe.
If I have to live in a world where Twitter was the only option for posting art I'm going to repeatedly and violently smash my head into the pavement :neofox_angry: :neofox_angry: :neofox_angry:
@puniko@mk.absturztau.be@jellyfriend@plush.city The one redeeming feature of Pawoo seems to be its art community. I have seen quite a few neat artists (who aren't pedos, btw) who are from that instance. However, I feel that it's been recently supplanted by Misskey.io, so it's no longer unique as an art platform as well.
Honestly, a website just shouldn't have any promotion algorithms. It either promotes groupthink no matter how invalid, or it provokes people into staying with the platform even if they don't enjoy it.
@adiz@soc0.outrnat.nl Huh, just wondering: What happened in Hong Kong? I heard the crackdowns against the protests were nasty, but I'm not sure if the sovereign government there is worth protecting. I heard that it is a fairly corrupt cappie state, with housing affordability being really horrible (Ex: Cage homes, otherwise awful living spaces).
@mer@cdrom.tokyo Personally, I feel that having the cognitive ability to consent is the main thing that separates Pokephilia from Zoophilia (though humanlike proportions also play a major role). Not to say feral body forms can be really iffy, too. You'd have to directly imply that your characters act like humans in order to properly imply consent, and even then, it's something not everyone agrees on. It's that I'll really start to have a problem if you make your Pokemon act like (by default non-consenting) animals. Instead of being just attracted to anmere body form, you're explicitly getting horny for how an animal acts.
@adiz@soc0.outrnat.nl There's also other communities within Fedi that I highly enjoy. 1. The Japanese art community is the largest group of talented creatives ever. I'm impressed with the sheer amount of neat art that they make, where it's almost unreal. Their extensive use of reposts, which promote even more cool artists to follow, is also wonderful to see. You'd never see that level of creative community on other social platforms (and maybe some art platforms as well). 2. The furry community is also awesome. They're just as talented and creative as the Japanese art community (and sometimes, I'd see really cool people who are part of both communities. Everything I said about the Japanese art community, thus, can be applied to this community. It's just sad that it's still quite small, being easily overshadowed by furry communities on other platforms (For instance, FA (iffy), Twitter (I obviously want it to burn), and Inkbunny (More outdated than actual 2000s websites)). I hope it'll overcome its challenges, such as the lack of a flagship art/furry instance (MastoArt went to shit), and that more furries and furry artists will join the platform. 3. The MAP/MAP art community Fuck all of you, die from a massive shredder 3. (For real this time) I never thought I would be vibing with the economic leftist community, made up of people like you, Moff, and Macja. Yet, you guys are honestly pretty cool people to hang out with and talk to. Moff, for example, has recommended some really cool videos that helped me break out of the one-dimensional notion that the Soviets and Chinese are evil nations that we shouldn't learn from. You guys also aren't so politically charged (how ironic that it's the fake leftist Twitter refugees that are such). I don't have to worry that my opinion is somehow offensive when I talk to this community. So, yeah, as a result, I might even consider myself part of this cool community.
@moffintosh@berserker.town Communism and fascism are like honey and canola oil. Yeah, they look similar in terms of first impressions (Especially to a westerner, who would see both systems unfamiliar to the liberal capitalist one. However, they share so many crucial differences that it's laughable to think people are surprised that they will be enemies against each other.
@adiz@soc0.outrnat.nl@nyx@social.xenofem.me Also, the westoid companies have already rejected the chuds in favor of the fake leftists (Exception: Twitter, which is fucking infested with these fuckers), so they can't call open-source communist without looking like hypocrites.
@eris@akko.disqordia.space I should get better at blending, especially with digital art. I see so much art with such detailed shadows that I want to do the same with my own art, which is cel-shaded for now.
Hey! I'm Poppy Farbird, an enby (they/them) furry artist who wants to work with technology. Specifically, I both create artworks of anthros (though they are on my other account) and boost other artists' fascinating works. For technology, I try to integrate open-source projects the best I can. I have Linux on my gaming PC, use software like Codium, Onlyoffice, Krita, and such, and sometimes promote these projects to others. In the future, I also want to support them financially and through commits in their codebase. I'm also trying to get into things like web design and animation. Although I'm both busy with college and poor with time management, I'm already proud to see the progress that I've made (basic 3D modeling, website on Neocities), and hope to go even further in the future. Anyways, it's just nice to be in the Fedi, which has one of the best communities on the internet. Some things to know: 1. Assume all other accounts that seem like me are fake unless I link them here. 2.
