@moffintosh @Moon Personally, AI wouldn't have received so much flack if its proponents would properly alleviate others' fears of it fucking over our lives instead of just blindly embracing it. AI can be used for good if we understand that it ultimately cannot replace human labor. For example, I heard some artists are, in fact, incorporating AI into their works due to its sheer efficiency. Yet, many proponents of AI just seem like everything people hate about techbros in general. They don't really consider how to implement AI as harmlessly as possible (Taking it out of corporate control, implementing proper and not corporate-influenced regulations), and instead just disregards AI's victims (and soon-to-be villains).

Likewise, I honestly feel that most of the hatred towards online artists is due to most of them being on Twitter. It's not that artists themselves are annoying. Heck, I love the art communities over on Fedi, and I often use FA and e6 (Pssst, I'm an artist and furry myself). It's just that Twitter itself, through its evil algorithm and short character limit, has made anyone who used it shitty people.

P.S.: Maybe I should have just dismissed the post entirely instead. The OP was stupid enough to buy a stupid checkmark on the Birdsite.

Here's a pretty silly drawing I made of my fursona! Soda drinking hats are so silly, honestly. It looks so weird, yet so fun.
Also, it reminds me of that one Spongebob episode. This show was honestly the best, at least with its early episodes. It might even be a fundamental facet of internet culture with how much people still meme off of this show, even when it is older than the entirety of Gen Z. However, I was actually inspired to draw this based off of this other silly drawing for @nano by EmmettArt. It's also really fun to draw silly hats on 'sonas, so why not?

@adiz @genmaicha Half of this shit applies to my state, Arizona. The stroads fucking hate non-drivers, and the boomers in charge don't care. Phoenix and Tucson are what save this state, cause' there are just so much restaurants and places worth visiting, especially as an Asian American.

@Jain I want to visit Japan because of the cool stuff this country has. There's high-quality stationary, charming tech, and such, and it would be nice to see all that for myself.

It's just that my current one is too large to carry and it has a fragile screen (I want to draw portably). Of course, it'd also be cool to see a touchscreen Framework laptop (plz let it happen).

@raccoon @dushman @methyltheobromine I should get a Thinkpad, specifically the Yoga models with a stylus. All other tablets seem kinda iffy with poor repairability and mobile operating systems, and the Thinkpad has fairly green scores on iFixit and a PC OS. Plus, Lenovo literally sells them with Ubuntu on it, so Linux support seems guaranteed (Unlike my HP laptop unfortunately).

Maybe I'll also try the older Thinkpads as well, particularly the ones with the keyboard people like so much. It's kinda funny that I like rugged designs in general, since even with them being practical first, they still evoke that emotion of coolness. Older Thinkpads also seem usable in the modern day, since a laptop I had that was slower than a Core 2 Duo was running Ubuntu quite well.

@methyltheobromine Huh, a lot of trans people are using Arch. Maybe I should too, considering I've heard it works well with the AUR being one of the best Linux repos and stability not being such an issue if you know what you're doing (plus, I'm starting to feel more and more :blobcattrans: over time).

@shibao I hope it's the artists who discovered it, and not the usual Twitter refugees. Misskey.io has one of the most vibrant art scenes in the Fedi. The Twitter refugees will only taint it with the usual Twitter toxicity, but the Twitter artists will help expand the pool of art in this server.
