@JCMann thank you. Another one most well-meaning men never consider: when walking on the street, if you’re in her blind spot, a woman doesn’t know if you’re friend or fiend. Most men are thinking abt box scores, tacos, the business mtg they just left, why lint exists etc & have no intention of whacking the woman over the head & dragging her into an alley. Women can’t ascertain this. So pass her quickly, but casually & keep walking. I’ve ducked into doorways to let men pass bc of this habit.

@Spicewalla @accretionist @BlackAzizAnansi correct. Once ppl are scared shitless, they’ll believe any bullshit a strongman peddles if only he promises to make the pain go away. This is 100% why communities need to support the weakest among us. If you've got the bandwidth to help the vulnerable, do it. Fascists exploit the vulnerable bc they do not give one single shit who they hurt along their quest for power (preaching to the choir, I'm sure).
