Okay #AskFedi , after affirming my love and desire to be here and ignore the other stuff, I want to consider using #peertube instead of YouTube.

Is it pretty much the same thing as here, pick a server and off you go? Any tips or tricks?

Can't stop appreciating the #SteamDeck and #Valve and #Proton in general.

FFXIV online used to be one of my fav games, but was always a pain to run on anything but windows. And even then, you needed an annoyingly big rig to play it.

Fast forward today, I installed it on my Linux powered handheld. Just wow.

I know I'm annoyingly positive on Linux.

But this is why.

Someone gave me this all in one computer they were about to throw away because it was so slow and broken under windows. It's running like a new machine now with #LinuxMint in control now, and will last years now.

I recently set up my wife's new MacBook air and felt that MacOS has gotten way more annoying and pushy with repeatedly having to log into things over and over.

It's apparently a vibe they're going for.
