AFAIR, Guix where never "switiching langugage" it was written from the beginning in Guile Scheme. However, the build daemon is a fork of nix build daemon indeed. There is a project for writing bug-for-bug compatible build daemon in Guile, but it's very much WIP.
@khronos @codemonkeymike Yes. Guix forked nix and quickly diverged a ton by switching language and away from systemd. Same base principles still ofc.
They're nix compatible though - which one would need for accessing any non-FOSS software (guix is gnu).
@codemonkeymike What is the difference in this and #guix I believe it is? Don't they have a lot in common if my memory serves me right?
