@darnell @randahl it's not really fair to say Hamas was elected and implying the people there chose this since the last election was in 2006. I agree about Hamas being a terrorist organization, and agree they should release the hostages, but a lot of people getting killed and starved weren't even alive in 2006 and have had no say in what hamas is doing. Israel is out of control and needs to be stopped from committing even more war crimes.

A friend just got her hair cut in Alabama. Her stylist said she recently had an ectopic pregnancy. Her doctor prescribed the abortion pill, but no pharmacies in Huntsville (a city full of PhD rocket scientists) would fill it. She finally found one pharmacy, but the pills didn't work. Nobody would do anything else to help her. Finally her fallopian tube ruptured and she had emergency surgery. I can't believe women now have to have a medical emergency for basic care. #WomensHealthCare #Abortion

@aral you know, people can be angry about two things at the same time. Like the continual sexism in American society and the genocide in Palestine. Luckily the ICJ may help solve one of those problems tomorrow.

@alanpringle I have a suspicion that a big part of the problem with seniors is the high cost of covid tests and not getting Paxlovid in time--or not getting offered Paxlovid at all. But it seems like nobody is really collecting data about this. I really wish people could just get free covid tests at a pharmacy.

@thomasfuchs oh that figures, they only remove the ones they don't profit from. I also saw this yesterday. I can't type all this in alt text, but basically if you report a comment, substack gives the commenter your name and the reason why you reported the comment.

@vid @aral in my opinion it's assholes like this guy who have stymied faster development of energy sources that are carbon neutral, and they've resisted changing because they make so much money from fossil fuels. We could have been much farther along with green energy if not for people like him.
