Nanook (nanook@friendica.eskimo.com)'s status on Saturday, 28-Oct-2023 09:02:32 JST Nanook @dicey @Piss_Ant From what I've seen of you here, you express love towards your cat and at least some people, I am sure God will have a place for you too. Of course I'm not authorized to judge, but God does tell us all we have to do is ask for his forgiveness and we will be saved, all have sinned. I have sinned and God has made it clear to me he loves me anyway and I'm pretty sure I was one of the worst but he has changed my life and can change everyone's. Still I have some issues to work through, I still find myself sometimes hating people that cause widespread destruction of life, something I have to work through. -

Nanook (nanook@friendica.eskimo.com)'s status on Saturday, 02-Sep-2023 09:57:42 JST Nanook @dicey @JonnyFever @dissentwatch The Ashkanazi's which makes up 97% of Israel, are the ones with all the money and psychopathy. If you like Klaus Schwab's or Yuval Harari's vision of the future great, I'm personally not keen on it. -

Nanook (nanook@friendica.eskimo.com)'s status on Friday, 01-Sep-2023 10:18:54 JST Nanook @dicey BTW, there is a movie by the same title but the film is not accurate, the directory took liberty with the truth and portrayed him as if he was still on drugs but in fact he lived more than three decades as a functional professor without them afterwards. -

Nanook (nanook@friendica.eskimo.com)'s status on Friday, 01-Sep-2023 10:18:43 JST Nanook @dicey I have not dealt with psychosis personally other than self induced via hallucinogenics on a few occasions, but I have dealt with severe anxiety and depression over a period of several decades which ultimately lead to some tragic actions on my part and over those twenty five years I was on SSRI's or NSRI's pretty much the whole time and to the degree they dulled anxiety they dulled the ability to feel anything at all. I finally learned a form of meditation broadly called Mindfulness meditation and within a month of starting to practice I dropped the SSRI's I was on cold turkey against the advice of my doctor and haven't had significant issues with either anxiety or depression in the 13 years since. Obviously, your issues and the solution is different than mine but similar to Mr. Nash's though in his case his big issue was that the meds extinguished the creative spark and his ability to work and earn a living rather than just emotional deadness, but the emotional deadness is certainly something I can associate with. I wish he would speak more on how he overcame his functionality in spite of his illness. -

Nanook (nanook@friendica.eskimo.com)'s status on Friday, 01-Sep-2023 10:17:56 JST Nanook The question you have to ask yourself is death while you're still alive better than psychosis. When you are functional enough I highly recommend a book called, "A Beautiful Mind" by Sylvia Nasar. It documents the mental journey of John Nash, a brilliant mathematicians struggle with psychosis. He learned to recognize the delusions and hallucinations and get them under control without drugs, went on to win the Nobel prize for his mathematical modeling and understanding of economics. There are a handful of psychiatrists that have come to at least a partial understanding of the methods he developed individually and have had at least partial success at helping patients apply them. With Nash, his mathematical brilliance went away when under the influence of anti-psychotics and hence he had a strong motivation for finding another way. -

Nanook (nanook@friendica.eskimo.com)'s status on Thursday, 31-Aug-2023 09:08:21 JST Nanook @pressure @Piss_Ant @bot @dicey I am 3/4 "white" and 1/4 "native American", Father is German, Mother 1/2 native American (her father was native American) and her mother was of Scandinavian ancestry, Swedish, Finnish, and some Norwegian I think in the mix, more Swedish than the others I think. Anyway I'm mostly white, mostly from regions Northerly, my body temp tends to run low (97.8 if not exercising). But I have no AC. The largest reason for that is that I'd have to have the houses electrical redone entirely, it is too old and not code and only 100 AMP service.
Oh BTW, there is a misnomer among Europeans that AMP for AMP they get twice the power because they are 240v and US is 120v, this actually is not the case. The US is 240v but it is center-tapped and the center-tap is neutral and ground referenced (physically grounded in some locations other places ground is separate). Large applies go from one-side to the other and thus use 240v, most other items, lighting, small appliances, normal outlets, are 120v and those loads are split across both legs which are 180 out of phase with each other.

Nanook (nanook@friendica.eskimo.com)'s status on Thursday, 31-Aug-2023 08:37:43 JST Nanook @pressure @Piss_Ant @bot @dicey If you have the means and you aren't heat tolerant, then yea, but not everyone has the means, and some people tolerate heat better than others (it got to 109F here last year, I am in the states and in a location with cheap electricity because we have a lot of hydro in our state and still survived with only fans for cooling. I'd love to get a heat pump but that would pretty much require re-wiring my house. -

Nanook (nanook@friendica.eskimo.com)'s status on Monday, 21-Aug-2023 10:15:02 JST Nanook Buy yourself a trimmer, they are relatively cheap, and some nail clippers, also cheap. Start by cutting off the pointy bits for your own protection then shave out
between and around the pads with your trimmer. No need to hack off the whole legs, that is a bit extreme. -

Nanook (nanook@friendica.eskimo.com)'s status on Saturday, 19-Aug-2023 05:46:31 JST Nanook @Piss_Ant @kj00 Thank you. The human situation is an experiment in primate reproduction, we are one of just three primates where sexual reproduction isn't primarily by rape, chimpanzees and bonopos being the other two, and we're the only one to try this experiment at such a large scale. And if you think of the genetic implications, they re non-trivial. By giving the female the largest say in reproductive selection, traits other than sheer physical strength are selected for, and this perhaps is why humans have evolved the larger brains, in spite of the difficulties that presents for the woman given the size of the human head verses the birth canal. -

Nanook (nanook@friendica.eskimo.com)'s status on Saturday, 19-Aug-2023 05:12:29 JST Nanook @kj00 @Piss_Ant You could try being honest, yea I know that's difficult for women and it's that lack of honesty that often angers men. This is more a problem with younger women, older women have learned honesty is a better route in the long run, they're more likely to get what they need and potential suitors are in a better position to learn and improve themselves. -

Nanook (nanook@friendica.eskimo.com)'s status on Saturday, 05-Aug-2023 10:43:52 JST Nanook @augustus @thendrix Kind of leaves out some important historical details, like after the break up of the USSR, we promised NOT to advance NATO more Eastward than Germany. The situation we put Russia in by doing this is no different than when they put nuclear missiles in cuba. -
