     The Dow is down over 6% since Trump took over.

     The markets being happy when they think he might u-turn his Batshit insane policies just proves how Batshit insane they are.

     Unless they are directly transferring value to the populace, I prefer politicians to follow the Post 1970 Charles de Gaulle school of politics. Lay down very still and do nothing.

     If you are trying to support Trump's insane economics you are probably also Batshit crazy.

     I suppose you think a 30 trillion depth and a three trillion deficit, the way Sleepy Joe ran the economy, is a good thing?

     I don't mind debt honestly. Countries can print money so it's much of a muchness.

     However Trump's policies are creating the biggest rise in US debt in history.

     Trade imbalances and deficits are good. It means you are the rich economy buying from the poorer economy.

     Who has the "trade imbalance" between a millionaire and a butler?

     MAGA US wants to become the world's butler rather than the millionaire. We don't mind. We just like laughing at it.

     @selzero You and I can disagree, I would only encourage people to go look at the graphs and the actual data. Then the argument is over. That said, I also notice that you ignored my other points, do you think a 30 trillion dollar debt is good or sustainable? How about a similar trade imbalance? Or a three trillion deficit? Especially when that money is just pored into the toilet, not into things that would actually build the economy?

     I built macroeconomic analysis systems for the world's biggest banks. Your money in your bank is probably being invested via my systems. So if I don't understand economics, you want to take your money out of the banking system.

     You have X amount of goods in the economy, Y amount of dollars, so the price for goods becomes a function of X/Y, you increase Y, debt, price goes up. Inflation is a hidden tax.

     @selzero Not what I am looking for, it is empirically obvious. And yes there is still a lot of work to be done, but the debt doubled in the last four years of Biden. You can't add 15 trillion dollars to the debt and not have some lingering effect.

Sorry I'm 66, of the age that I realize that squandering money on solar panels that don't make power at night and bike trails isn't going to help us, I'm old enough to know that bringing foreign criminals in and giving them stuff so they will vote for you isn't a good idea, and I'm old enough to realize being in debt is not good.

     Everyone else with an IQ above 40 knows the whole point of the tariffs is that countries pay into Trump's crypto system or whatever and get the tariffs taken off. The only upside is to him.
