     @kaia make sure that power connector is in securely without any bends in the cable when the case is closed, that has been a serious fire issue for them.

     @slash that's actually one of the reasons why I need a bigger case. I cannot close the case with the dumb cables. why are they at the side? why not at the back or something? :angry_cirno:
     
     I have still not found a nice case to fix this.

     I had some similar contrast between my water cooled 1080 Ti and my 4070. Not quite as stark, but still was crazy going from a card that fills 2 PCI slots to 3

     @kaia Nvidia’s reason for it is probably thermal, but it is definitely a pain for users in a traditional vertical case, and coupled with the melting issue I definitely wouldn’t trust a riser cable with it so that rules out a lot of options.
