Can anyone explain to me how an accessory that’s become as synonymous with distance #running as the #Garmin watch, can estimate running pace so awfully off-track?

On an average workout, my pace jerks between 4 and 8 min/km, even though I run with the same constant speed (around 6:30). As a result, my entire training regime makes zero sense.

I understand that the GPS loses signal, but can’t they be smart enough to fill the gaps with some basic step counting? C’mon, even my phone could do that.

I am yet to find a sleeping coach application that takes my individual needs into account, and doesn’t feel like it’s trying to fit me into a generic box. I get it, Garmin, I need to learn how to sleep longer, but giving me this unrealistic goal that will probably happen once in my lifetime, is not going to make me more motivated to change. It feels like standard sleep research is all about punishing you with unattainable goals that someone just decided should be the average

The best we get to call it is Augmented (Human) Intelligence. Like those glasses that overlay things in front of your eyes, current AI is mostly a tool that does stuff for you, and it just happens to do it better than tools before it. New types of problems bring in new tools to solve them. But it’s just brute-forcing an answer in the end, I agree.
