Murmel doesn’t rely on ads or hidden fees, and we aim to keep it that way. By requiring a credit card at signup, we’re building a sustainable, user-funded service that values you, not ad revenue. Cancel anytime, no hassle! #mastodon#murmelhttps://murmel.social
Murmel is built for folks who want a curated experience on Mastodon. Know someone who’d love a quick way to catch up on the most-shared news? Tag them below to help us spread the word! 👋 #MastodonTips#Fediverse#DigitalWellbeinghttps://murmel.social
An event like Apple's WWDC is the perfect occasion to join Murmel. Rather than trying to catch all the nuances, you get to watch the event undisturbed, and we'll bring the social media uproar to your inbox tomorrow morning.
Put simply, Murmel is now entirely Fediverse-powered 🎉
It’s a bittersweet moment - the #birdsite was what led us to build Murmel in the first place. But it was also what ultimately led us to search for alternatives. We’re happy to have our new home here, and are looking forward to seeing it develop further!
📢💰We will run an experiment of drastically reducing the price of our monthly subscription from $4.99/m down to a mere $1.99/m. That's a 60% price reduction! Of course, the 30-day free trial remains, too.
To make the lower price stick, we'd need to get as many people to try Murmel as we possibly can.
Please, help us spread the word throughout the #fediverse. We'd love to get a boost from you. Please, smash that 🔁 button! 🚀🙏
"Despite the hurdles, our migration to Mastodon was more than successful and, in retrospect, the right thing to do. Not everyone, but a few of our loyal customers moved over with us - something I will forever be thankful for. Moreover, people’s reception on Mastodon turned out to be warmer than I anticipated. […] That motivated us to keep going."
📢🎉 The wait is over. As of now, anyone can come and join Murmel, without us having to whitelist their #Mastodon instance! If your instance is not in our list, proceed with with the login anyway. We will try to add it for you, and let you know if we couldn't.
This is one further step in making it easier for people to come and try Murmel.
Please, keep in mind that as all of our new features, there might be some bugs, so please be patient with us smoothing the experience.
@dansup sad to hear. One of the reasons we decided to ask people to subscribe for Murmel upfront. While we are all for freedom of the web, it’s unrealistic to expect that anything running on a single person or a small-team’s voluntary effort will survive over the long-term. Life happens.
