@dansup@pixelfed I like the 2019 one. It's clean, clear, and distinctive. The 2022 version looks like a generic corporate messaging app that doesn't want to offend anyone.
@Gargron I worry that the effort of moderating the rising tide of crap from Threads will become detrimental to this server. Do you have a plan that will result in threads being defederated? What is the threshold, and why is the stated direction from Meta enough to trigger severance?
@Gargron been scrobbling since 2005 (actually visited their offices back in the day, cool folks) and use their API (especially useful as Spotify just slammed a bunch of theirs shut with no warning). Wish it was better supported by CBS, but I guess hard to justify spending money on it. https://www.last.fm/user/Offbeatmammal
@aral while Safari shits me in some respects, I love how Apple have stuck to their guns while Microsoft caved and made Edge into an even worse Chrome. Firefox used to be my go-to but I struggle with some of their UX/UI choices, but still have it installed for testing (and often go for days with it as my only open browser). DuckDuckGo and Brave are great for ad blocking but don't feel right for other reasons. Google played a long game and are now springing the trap
