I have put a robots.txt file on my blog website to block all web crawlers. I don't want the search engines and AI scrapers all over my site. How much do you want to bet that virtually none of them will obey my robots.txt? Because #capitalism, #bigdata, and #bigai.

@design_law @pluralistic Mastodon is just one aspect of the #fediverse though. That's what makes things great. There's Misskey, Firefish, Akkoma, Pleroma, honk (a small, extremely lightweight client for OpenBSD), and I am sure I missed some others.
