I've found myself spending more time over on Bluesky than in the fedi lately.

I still believe in the fedi and will maintain this profile. But there are just more law and art people over there (and more seemingly every day).

Just sharing in case anyone wonders why I've been posting less lately. I'm okay. I just find myself being drawn away.

Fair warning: Anyone who replies to lecture me will be blocked.

And yes, I know crossposting is a thing. Maybe I'll look into it when I have some time.

This may be a long shot but: Does anyone know of a cool place to take art lessons or do some kind of open studio (without being prohibitively expensive) in San Diego?

Chicago friends: Any recommendations for good steak or Italian restaurants in/around River North? (A family friend wants recommendations.)

Despite my best efforts, I have not yet eaten all cuisines in all neighborhoods yet. 😊

Okay, tech-savvy people of the fedi, I am asking for your advice:

What speed of internet do I *actually* need for home use?

I'm located in the U.S. The most intensive things I do with my wireless are Zoom & streaming.

I'm moving soon and everyone wants to sell me "gigabyte" service. I'm reasonably sure, based on my own research, that's overkill.

But the question remains: What lower speed do I need?

I still get the best engagement from lawyers here in the fedi, though. Quality over quantity.
