@Remittancegirl My Dominican-American hair stylist who is married to a Venezuelan tells me all the red flags are obvious to her and her husband. They fear that if the U.S. goes the way of Venezuela, they plan to high tail it to their condo in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. Both are long-time US citizens who have a college-educated, US-born daughter.

I’ve been boycotting watching “Meet the Press”, finding other, lovely ways of spending my Sunday mornings. So, when I decided to quickly dip in to see what was happening on a show I used to love when Tim Russert was at the helm, my worst fears were confirmed. While Sen. Cory Booker gamely pushed back against the host’s whataboutism, the panel’s gaslighting was dangerous. At least Steve Kornacki bluntly presented facts about TFG’s poor polling numbers. Still, my boycott continues. #meetthepress

My friend and hiking pal who works at the SEC just texted me that all Black History Month events at the SEC have been canceled. She also told me that her division's hiking club has been disbanded, because it's considered as "DEI". I once joined one of their hikes, which was made up of European-, Asian- and Black American employees. This is insanity. It is wrong. It is cruel. It is fascism. #hiking #fascism
