If a Threads user with Fediverse sharing enabled mentions @mosseri in a post the link to his account fails, but will open in a browser / the Threads app.

Mentions from Mastodon successfully link to his account.

Odd. Noticed that when viewing @mosseri from Mastodon his last post was on April 23, despite posting on Threads many times since and within the last 24 hours.

And if I follow him from here, his account doesn't show under my following list, despite indicating that I'm following on his profile.

Glitch? Intentional? How many other federated @threads accounts are like this? (Other threads.net accounts that I'm following seem okay.)

The one thing that I like about Nostr (the protocol) is that you don’t need to create an account for every platform.

Instead, you create a pair of keys (public/private) that can be used across all #Nostr platforms/apps and everything (content to social graph) is just there, wherever you are.

And you can change your handle (to a domain) as often as you want without losing anything, because you’re not locked into platform-specific accounts.

I wish ActivityPub had this.
