If there are issues with so-called crime, the issues have causes, and those causes are fundamental radical disenfranchisement and concentration of power and access to resources, an explicit and concerted effort over the past 400 years to re-create classes or rulers and slaves.

Crime qua crime (that which is prosecuted by the courts to uphold the status quo) and interpersonal violence are connected in a fundamentally thinner line than the interpersonal violence that constitutes social norms, political ventures, jails, courts, policing versus "crime" which provides for the living of the systematically disenfranchised. It is not akin to the interpersonal violence that policing presumes to correct. The policing itself is the root of that whole species of violence.

@sun @arcana @scathach So-called Crime is good. I'm pro-crime. Illegalism is neat and coherent and effective. Murder in the name of upending a colonialist social order which allows only those who have inherited those fleeting, unsustainable spoils of exploitation and deceit and conquest to thrive is good murder. Property (not personal possessions and responsibilities, mind you) was always just an idea -- an assertion that can only be maintained by imposing unlimited suffering on out-groups, victims. It doesn't work, at all, even for those who seem to gain from it. When it's forced into "working" it just leads to "economic policy," which is barely code for sucking exploited people's blood and using that blood to lube the sucking exploited people's blood machine.

This sentiment in my opinion is importantly coextensive with (not weakened by) such imperatives as "don't hesitate to kill fascists, whenever you think you can", "Whatever you treat as normal around you gets closer and closer to being normal around you", "if someone tells you who they are, believe them", and "white people, qua white people must be rendered an impossibility as soon as possible, through violence where it is effective."
