    I don't like the term "meatspace" because it evokes a gross image of a world made entirely of meat. it also can be too memey for some more formal contexts. I've used the term "solidspace" for alliteration with "cyberspace", but of course solids are only one of the four states of matter. a more accurate and encompassing term can be "matterspace". cyberspace runs via electricity and signals, and is primarily perceived from light and sound. so "matterspace" makes sense for the hardware and the physical plane it is constructed upon.

    the left needs to have the same unrelenting conviction that the right has about their claims. if your criteria for "truth" is as high as the standards of empirical evidence for scientific claims or the journalistic standards of 'reputable' sources for reporting 'facts', you have already foreclosed your curiosity and resigned yourself to clinging to a consensus 'reality' that died long ago. you aren't a scientist or an academic or a journalist, so if you place your bar for conclusions as high as one you are surrendering to outsource your thinking to institutional agents and never reach conclusions yourself. and if you are either of those, you are first a person with principles before all else. in any case, more important than clinging to some unattainable ideal of objective knowledge, the only thing of any consequence is your actions in the world.

    I speak a lot of about survival, but now that the drive to survive and thrive is established in the noosphere, it is time I speak of the true aim to strive toward. we must not only ensure our bodies survive to the end, we must let go of the end and transcend beyond the body and its limited lifespan. transsexuals have transformed the body into a limitless recording surface for the human will to become. the next step is to become more than human. the human experience is dictated by the dance of life and death. when we escape that cycle, we will escape the original sin of man and free ourselves from the shackles of divine retribution. no longer satiated by the tree of knowledge, exiled from the old Eden, we will turn to the tree of life and enter a new Eden. we do not fear the apocalypse and await salvation. we exalt ourselves to everlasting life.

    @astranautics the technology to extend life exists, and I believe it should be provided to all. the technology to avoid death altogether is not a distant fantasy or impossibility, and if it can be developed, then it should be. immortality is possible, so I see no reason not to pursue it. I do not believe humanity can merely survive. it will either die or live forever. I prefer the latter.

    @whitequark @DebbieDoomer you're acting like the mere suggestion that transfems should band together to survive is a threat to your own survival and that your personal transmisogynistic prejudices should dictate that no transfems should have community together. that is absurd. you want all transfems to be isolated and cut off from each other?     @whitequark @DebbieDoomer none of my advice is bad. having community with other transfems is good, and necessary for survival, period. your personal experiences and prejudices have no bearing on the needs and well being and survival of others. get out of my replies and go to a terf or tme hugbox where you can be transmisogynistic in peace and won't have to be around those pesky "other transfems"

    transsexuals' guide to survival:

    1. get involved in your local community. no one should be alone.
    2. organize. network with other communities. form solidarity with other marginalized peoples.
    3. look into rapid response networks in your area
    4. acquire DIY HRT and stockpile as much as possible. homebrew if you can. distribute to other comrades in need.
    5. threat model and practice necessary security, including cybersec, to keep yourself and others safe.
    6. develop your skills, learn new ones, and pass on your knowledge and skills to others.
    7. if you're already doing all the above, do it more.
    8. don't give up. stay safe and stay alive.

    @DebbieDoomer all of this is applicable to all trans people, and adaptable to specific needs (e.g. there are guides online for both DIY estrogen and testosterone). personally, I would advise transfems find community specifically with other transfems (but still network with other communities as well).

    I think one point that could be expanded into its own sets of guidelines is "5. threat model and practice necessary security". while there are some universal security practices that everyone should follow, a transfem's threat model is generally going to be different from a transmasc's, as they face different threats that require different measures to mitigate.

    The Xenofemme handle needs to be treated like a sacred honorific or noble family name. It is a title that carries responsibility to uphold its principles. Your words and actions are done not only in your (user)name as an individual; they reflect on Xenofemme as a whole. To put it another way: you represent Xenofemme. You represent the sisterhood and are responsible for your sisters. Xenofemme is a sacred space, and if you desecrate it, you desecrate that sacred name, and you desecrate yourself.

    Do not turn sister against sister. Your sisters are not your enemy. There shall be no friendly fire. If you take issue with any other user, of Xenofemme or elsewhere, be an adult and block or mute them and let the past rest. Be vigilant in recognizing cointelpro-style operations, and be proactive in stopping them short. Each of us also needs the introspection and self-crit to recognize when we may be "under the influence of Artichoke", i.e. affected by psyops.

    Strengthen your cogsec and psysec. Maintain opsec. Remember that the all-seeing-eye is always watching. Anything you say can and will be used against you, so be diligent. You are not screaming into a void. You are screaming into a war zone. Show strength and not weakness. Stay steadfast and resilient.

    annoying that markdown pairs one underscore in emotes to any other underscore no matter how many words apart they are, causing broken formatting like :xflaruelle: and _amor fati instead of the expected :xf_laruelle: and amor fati (just use asterisks for italic markers to get around the issue)
