You forgot something.
They didn't shoehorn AI and advertisements for Adobe Acrobat into it.
Yes I know it's called Reader now, I spent at least 10-15 years calling it Acrobat so that name is burned into my head.

Ever since I was 14 I wanted to find an original VW bug and cram a Chevy big block in it.
Now I'm wondering if it's the magic or the whimsy that makes my eyes sting.
Probably the whimsy.
Decided I wanted spaghetti.
So naturally I fried up 2 pounds of ground beef, used at least 3 quarts of sauce, and have 2 gallons of water heating up for the 2 pounds of pasta I'm gonna cook.
When it comes to pasta, it's physically impossible to just make enough for a few plates.
The funny thing about it is, we only have models of how it works. Very good ones, but models nonetheless. The primary basis for them is extrapolation of the basic discoveries of electrics and magnetics in the 1800s.
The map, as it has been accurately said, is not the territory.
I feel that somewhere in the future a discovery will be made which will blow all prior thought around RF completely out of the water.
Build a DBJ-1! Probably cheaper than the j-pole with copper prices nowadays.

ONCE AGAIN, it has been PROVEN that THE CONSPIRACY is LYING about what YEAR it is!
2025? It is not even 1998 yet! It may not even be the 90's yet! It may not even be THE 1900's YET!
THE HISTORY BOOKS ARE FILLED WITH SCAMS AND LIES! EVERY LAST ONE!
And to those reading whom haven't gotten their saucer ticket, REMEMBER THAT IT MAY BE 1997! THE SAUCERS MAY COME NEXT YEAR! GET YOUR TICKET NOW OR FRY WITH THE REST OF THE PINKS! TIME IS RUNNING OUT! DO IT BEFORE YOU FORGET!
Watch the minimum bend radius! 0.75" for a final fixed installation or 2.5" repeated flex.
Hope your wraps were larger than 1.5" in diameter.
I have a paper version of this. Absolutely everything you could ever want to know about LMR cable: https://timesmicrowave.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/lmr-complete-guide.pdf
They're fine. A tool in the box. Better than trap dipoles because you don't get the losses in the traps.
The further apart you can get the wires, the eaasier it is to tune.
Please be enlightened by my mistake and MAKE THE SPREADERS AS LIGHT AS POSSIBLE. The first fan I put up, I decided to use some 1"x1/2" wood strips thinking it'd be light enough. Nope!
If/when I make another one I'm going to use some plastic rod. Probably Noryl. But use your best judgement with your version!
Eat the hell out of it
I used all kind of Pomona leads when I worked in electronic quality control. They will last if you take care of them.
Idea: A limousine, but every occupant has their own clutch pedal and gear shifter.
Thirdly, C/F(MHz)/ 2 or 4 is an honest beginner mistake. You need to apply velocity factor as well.
The velocity factor of bare copper wire is 0.95. So you take that wavelength calculation and multiply it by 0.95.
It looks like you have insulated wire there. A safe velocity factor to assume of most typical insulation is 0.95. So you take the number you just calculated and multiply again by 0.95.
You will now have a length that will be close enough to begin tuning the antenna.
Yes, something like that is what you would require in a situation like yours.
So, first off, it looks like that building might have a lot of metal in it. This will detune any antenna.
Second, using a railing as a ground plane for a 1/4 wave vertical will not work well. When a vertical is elevated off the ground, its radial system must be tuned. 1/4 wave radials are a good place to start.

Glue it to a stick of ram. Use it as a backscratcher.
I've felt the same about computers overall. I'd rather do stuff in the real world. No real sense of achievement when it comes to computers.
I was gonna buy a 3D printer, but such equipment would mean more computer time. More and more I'm asking myself "do I really want to spend more time on the computer?" I've been reminded of mortality a lot in the past year, I don't want to die having lived in front of a screen.
Computers are valuable tools. Not something to build life around.
Almost went off the road reaching for the mike or tuning the VFO. Looking down at the radio, looking back up, and finding myself riding the center line, in the oncoming lane, or 10 MPH over the limit. Things like that.
It seemed like a good multitasker like that. I'm like Alton Brown, I hate unitaskers! After a couple close calls I'll never have a mobile radio again, but I'll probably be buying a second one for various portable work. Seems like it would work well for portable when inside a parked car in winter, on a table or tripod in summer, and be nice and compact in the extremely unlikely case of disaster that requires evacuation.
Semi-human mutant. 18+ only. Kids, I don't like you.Not here to debate. My heart skips so if I debate you, you're gonna have to be the one to call the undertaker. The David Bowie of this and thatI'd like to keep a journal but it never works out.Due to the graphic nature of this program, viewer discretion is advised.#NoBot #noindex
