@dalias@ghost_letters@fosstodon I think 30 days is a long time to ask an instance to stay federated with another instance they don't want to be federated with. Your duty really is to the users of your own instance, not some other offending instance, imo, but I get why people are annoyed. Big difference between 72hrs and 30days.
@JugglingWithEggs@aaron limk is grand, and the hinterland is lovely. Theres thomond park for the sports fans. Ye can go up shannon and see ard na crusha and lough derg. There's bunratty castle as well as king John's. It's lovely out the listowel Road to glin. Adare is worth a visit too, very close by.
Cork has blarney, which is an afternoon out. It's a shame the Crawford gallery is under refurbishment, but glucksman and ucc itself are pretty too and the city has a better buzz than limk imo...
@JugglingWithEggs@aaron there's fota, which you can catch the train out to, and head on to Cobh if you like. The marina market will be a hit with the kids, and you can cycle all along the river to blackrock pier, and beyond if you feel up to it, to blackrock Castle observatory. The English market is great place to bring home fancy food gifts from.
@deepfryed were they bareback riders? Because having had no other option, the one time I was wearing shorts in the saddle left me a firm advocate for pants.
@misty@tef I think you have to read it a little less cynically. The Quakers really do want to keep the door open for communication and communion, even for people who are currently being total shits.
They make me wish I believed in God. I'd be all over that Religious Society like real good Friend.
