@quinn it’s quite weird in here because for the last month or so, Erdogan’s trying to kickstart a new peace process with Ocalan but at the same time arresting and removing Kurdish politicians from their positions. I’m not sure what their game plan is at this point but they were preparing for this.
@rysiek I think that’s the best option right now. I’m also looking for a way to create an old school roll, which shows the latest posts from that list. I have couple of ideas to give it a try.
@quinn it’s for the solo/independent business I’m finally putting out there (I actually started it in early summer but because of overthinking+impostor syndrome like thoughts I barely even talked about it with anyone)
@Flipboard@tchambers@fediversenews do you have plans to start including global outlets? I’d like to see publications from Türkiye included in your federation list.
@quinn I think the problem comes from people having a problem to differentiate between a diagnosis and identity. Sure, learning that I have ADHD helped me a lot but turning it into my whole identity doesn’t make sense to me at all.
Maybe it’s just me but I prefer being as complex as possible and impossible to identify with one thing, and end up being called “that weirdo”. 😄
@Wolven I’ve translated three books and many other things between English and Turkish, and I have weeks worth of stories to tell about why translation is not a neutral act.
@aral on my bank app in Turkey, if I don’t have the IBAN saved it always makes me write the full name of the account holder and shows me the first letters to control before sending any money. I don’t know if it allows the transfer if the name is wrong but I always assumed that’s the case because my bank even personally called me one time because someone sent money to my wrong currency account to verify.
They were afraid of turning into paperclips or the AI being angry at them but they forgot the true sign of intelligence: figuring out how to be as lazy as possible.
