I've often thought it would be cool if artists (not just music) shared i.e. project files so anyone can remix their work to their liking.
Would be a more efficient version of what you two are talking about.
Probably some CC/copyleft/public domain adjacent artists do that. Idk.

The root DNS zone (and lower zones) can delete domains below it, but the IP addresses are still there so sites and services removed that way are not truly gone.
Can't the same be done with IP addresses?

I meant GPS tags where I don't have to use proprietary software or big tech companies' services.

Come to think of it though, proprietary software and/or centralised services would be fine if they have been proven to be secure against manufacturer/developer/admin attacks.
