I'm sure there were SGI machines around, but not in any of the classes i took. Random computer labs were mostly mac g3s :( Still marathon lan parties were pretty amusing. It's your show, but i think you'd want to fairly rigorously enforce rulesets/mechanics/powerlevels between the "servers." Gamer brains will gravitate to where the most power is, so making the differentiation thematic/aesthetic/narrative based will help to diffuse that.

But that never really worked out with transferring seamlessly into different servers. Obviously 3d games have a lot more baggage to xfer over- but text level games should be pretty "easy" Only issue is setting up an authoritative save server.

@coolboymew@shitposter.world That's a strange combo from my perspective. Chicken pizza is usually either bbq sauce based or like a cream sauce and pepperoni isn't. But I'm sure it's tasty.

There's like too many layers of meta foot shooting involved with pastiche. I haven't seem mouth of madness since it came out, and at the time i took it as sincere. But then it failed with the reveal. It's totally valid that it lived on as a meta spoof with stupid monsters. Most horror movies do, but I wanted- and still want an actual legit scary cthulu movie. And that one failed with showing the monsters.

I'm not giving him a total pass, but given dead man, coffee and cigarettes, and any given 3rd movie- I'll choose only lovers left alive- he's one of the few american directors still making movies that i kind of keep track of.
