@ricci In Germany,,a child needed intensive care because the poor unvaccinated lad caught diphtheria. His antivax mom caught it, too, but because she was raised by people with more sense than her, even her weakened vaccines meant that she was only slightly ill while her child had to be put into an artificial coma.
@lrhodes As a teacher, I refuse to read what nobody wrote. In the end, it actually leads to less technology in the classroom. Instead of allowing students to write essays at home, research at their own pace, give them feedback, and allow them to improve the original essay, I need them to write in class with only preselected media.
Ich liebe es, wenn wir so tun, als würden die Kinder unterrichtet werden. Statt meiner dringend benötigten Bürozeit (Freistunden, die ich dazu nutze, meine Materialien zu drucken und Verwaltung zu erledigen) habe ich Vertretung. Also schauen wir zwei Videos, die irgendwie zum Thema passen und spielen Kahoot. Auf dem Papier ist also kein Unterricht ausgefallen. #FediLZ
@mekkaokereke I always tell people who go on about "different times" that it's ok, I'll judge them by my grandpa, who was born in 1921, a white working class man. They inevitably fail. I also told my father in law that he had a choice: using the n-word or be my guest, but never both. Imagine, he has been able to behavie himself ever since. Racist old relatives only dominate the conversation if the others let them.
