    @goatsarah @ajlanes Or you aren't paying attention to medical sexism. This whole post is pretty insulting to basically all cis women. Trans folks have it rough, the most abused and bullied people on the planet, but don't belittle another marginalized group as a joke, when doctors literally haven't taken them seriously since the beginning of the field and treat them like second class citizens with no autonomy over their bodies.

    @aronow We also have a chance to improve democracy instead of lose it entirely. If OR and NV can pass Ranked choice voting this year, that will be 4 states that never have to vote for the lesser of two evils again for anything but president. As more states get it, citizens of more states will demand it. If Trump wins however we can kiss rule of law, democracy and the climate goodbye

    When was the last time someone was on the ticket as one of us #enlisted #military members? #HarrisWalz2024 #Walz was a Master Sargent E-8 when he left the military. The Bushes were both pilots, officers, Carter nuclear officer, Kennedy officer of PT boat. The LAST enlisted presidential ticket was Trueman who made it to corporal in the national guard but had to drop out due to his bad eye site, but then when WWI broke out was promoted to Lt and then Captain. Everyone else has been a lawyer. While looking through this I was rather stunned at the few military presidential tickets we've had.

    #harris2024 Is currently ahead in both the national polls and the big 3 states needed to win, Mi, WI and PA, and is in striking distance of NV, NC and GA. Biden was never even close to winning in NC or GA, and she's making it work.

    4 of the 9 justices will be in their 70s next year. 3 conservatives and 1 liberal. In other words even if you hate #Biden for everything else, you are voting for the supreme court that has now given itself god-like powers, the the president the right to murder you if its an "official act". #Trump CANNOT be allowed to choose these judges or democracy and rule of law is over.

    @EdSanders @StillIRise1963 There is a theory that the CIA pushed a bunch of conspiracy theories on the public so that people who believed them would sound crazy so any person of color telling the world what the government was actually doing to them, they would all be lumped into the same "crazy" bucket

    Inspired by Oscar Romero, assisted by his Catholic diocese, Reuben Garcia of Annunciation House in El Paso cares for migrants who need extra help (including some who have been granted humanitarian parole and allowed medical care), - but Texas thinks he's sheltering the undocumented.

    Attorney General Ken Paxton (R) is asking a judge to shut down Garcia’s Annunciation House shelters and force him to turn over all of his organization’s records — including the names of people he is housing. Garcia has refused, setting up a legal battle between the state of Texas and a religious leader whose work is key to the federal government’s management of border crossings and who has drawn praise from the highest echelons of the Catholic Church.

    @glasspusher @RickiTarr Because trauma makes people internalize that they don't deserve love, care and attention. If they don't get it, especially as a child, they rationalize that they just don't deserve it and are worthless.
