My wife and I very much understand our roles and responsibilities, and are still as much in love as the day at first met, if not more. It's gross.
To be candid, my grandma loved me too death as well, and I honor my wife with the love I learned from her. I got my snark from her as well. She used to give me a lot of shit, but all in jest. She was a firey little spic. She could paint, garden (her yard was like a picture from a magazine), and even bonsai'd trees from seed.
What it really comes down to the theory of the firm, which can be an association of people of any size, from a state to a small business.
Basically, a firm runs most efficiently when everyone has different skills and abilities, and therefore aren't fighting for position or task assignment.
