@CozyLife They made it pretty clear that it was mandatory when I arrived on nicecrew :p
The pressure about it felt a little too cult-like to my liking, so I moved to poast instead, but what I really want is cute animals and funny memes 😭

@CozyLife @DMA Oh it started 2 weeks ago, when I had a little welcome party from Nicecrew x)

But oh well, I'm not allergic to that word. I just feel like it's used in a problematic way in a lot of contexts, including when black people use it, to be honest. And I don't like to be pressured into saying things just to fit in.

@Humpleupagus @fknretardlol @BasedLord @jb @matty @NoDoxGregBrady @bloggerski @oneBasedBrother I don't think all relationships went as well as theirs, sadly, even back then. But I'm glad they worked out.

@Humpleupagus @BasedLord @jb @NoDoxGregBrady @bloggerski @oneBasedBrother > So you never actually talked to your grandparents or know their relationship, yet you're on expert on it? Absolute woman moment.

Is it that hard to imagine that I heard that from them ?

    > My grandma was a whore who sold her ass for cash.

No. What I said is that my grandma was in a situation where she couldn't afford to choose based on her feelings, she HAD to be strategic about choosing the "best party" as they'd call it.

That's the whole point. Now that women can own a bank account, and participate in the home's finance, they don't need to do that, and it's a good thing.

@brigrammer @bloggerski @BasedLord @jb @NoDoxGregBrady @oneBasedBrother Would you have some source for that ? I've never heard about oxytocin decreasing with multiple partners.

I think a woman who have been disappointed in several men before will indeed be more wary. I don't think it's a personality problem, I think it's a sign of good pattern recognition abilities.

    > She is likely to be better at sex - but that isn't much of a consolation for a man looking for a wife.

She is likely to know her body and emotional needs better, and be able to explain it, in order to make the relationship sweeter and worthy to be lived *

    > it isn't like women are out teaching men what to do nor do they have any idea how their own bodies work.

Women do not all work the same, and men either. We all have our way to enjoy sex. It is not just about rubbing parts. It's mostly about emotional and mental needs.
And yes, we do know, after some experience, how our body -and brain- work, and how to get pleasure from it.
And if you are listening to your partners, you can also learn how to do it, and it might make them stick around more easily.

    > If you read your own words dispassionately, you'd see you disproved your own premise.

Can you enlighten me ? If you mean my grandma having to chose a stable situation over love, that's my whole point. Today, women don't need to do that as much, as they can sustain themselves.

@NoDoxGregBrady @oneBasedBrother @jb Everything taught recently has led women to have standards. The women who have such high standards that they can't be met simply won't reproduce. The men who are so bad that they can't meet anybody's standards won't reproduce either.

That's natural selection, and I think it works pretty good. Unrealistic women and ill-mannered and/or physically weak men are getting weeded out.

It's natural to demand that a relationship we're putting work into isn't going to bring us more bad than good.

@BasedLord @jb @NoDoxGregBrady @oneBasedBrother We're not animals. Gender dynamics is natural in any complex society. We reached a level of technology and society that allows women to survive without a man, so now they get to decide if men are worth their time or not.

Women still want to marry for love, and now they actually can afford it.
You guys complain about women being obsessed with money. My grandma HAD to marry the "best party" she could to avoid poverty. I don't, I'll actually marry my bf because he's smart and matches me, and I don't need him to be rich because I can sustain myself.

@bloggerski @BasedLord @jb @NoDoxGregBrady @oneBasedBrother The result was she accepted a life of labour for him, in exchange for money. Yeah, they probably loved each other, kinda. But he probably loved her for her food, and she for his roof.

She would have had a more personal and functional relationship, if she could have chosen with more freedom. I hear she actually hesitated between him (a successful engineer) and another less successful guy. Do you think she'd have made the same choice is she wasn't driven by money ?

Obligatory braincell quota of the platform, apparently. They said they needed one for inclusivity.I just might start a war by having an opinion, no matter if I'm talking to rightists or leftists.I guess I'm just going to say stuff and see how it goes.
