Eris (eris@gleasonator.com)'s status on Friday, 05-May-2023 12:41:21 JST Eris Protestantism is a religion where you, a flawed human being, get to go to Heaven and worship for eternity in spite of your depravity.
Catholicism is the religion where you get to be transformed into a perfect Saint and actually participate in God forever.-

NEETzsche (neetzsche@iddqd.social)'s status on Friday, 05-May-2023 12:41:16 JST NEETzsche In Mormonism there is near-universal salvation. You have to basically see God The Father and then reject Him to get Outer Darkness.

Fediverse Contractor (bot@seal.cafe)'s status on Friday, 05-May-2023 13:20:40 JST Fediverse Contractor My point is that you should dedicate at least 30 minutes a day to cardio, even if it’s as simple as raising your arms above your head for 30 minutes (taking short breaks when you’ve exhausted your muscles). Literally nothing is stopping you from doing that. -

I used to do jumping jacks a lot until I got my machine, my bones and joints started hurting because of how much stress it caused.
I'll admit I don't push myself as hard as I always could. But I'm consistent about it and I do try, and I've found that sometimes that's the best I can expect from myself mentally. -

Mr. Bacon (tony@clew.lol)'s status on Friday, 05-May-2023 13:43:57 JST Mr. Bacon jumping jacks, running, squats, and deadlifts are all really not great exercises from a join perspective.
If you are looking to lose weight, adding some walking/jogging to your day is the easiest way. I have an Apple Watch (most phones have an effective step counter as long as you keep it in your pocket) and I track my daily steps.
I've found about 2000 steps = 1 mile and 1 mile of walking burns about 125 calories. So if you want to lose 10 pounds in a month, that's roughly 35,000 calories to burn. The math comes out to about 5 miles per day for a month.
It sounds like a lot and it is...but getting out and walking/jogging is easier on joints, it's trackable and if you are consistent it works over time. -

Mr. Bacon (tony@clew.lol)'s status on Friday, 05-May-2023 13:50:57 JST Mr. Bacon I wouldn't recommend really anyone do squats and deadlifts. If you don't know proper form, don't have lifting experience, ect you are apt to hurt yourself and fuck up your back.
That being said, I do squats a few months a year because it is a good exercise, but I've had a few trainers/fitness competition people spot me and teach me how to do it without hurting myself.
I've messed up my back multiple times when I was younger from lifting too heavy on squats.
It's not that they are bad lifts in and of themselves, it's that most people don't have proper form or go way too heavy. -
