An RPG like Morrowind, except instead of quests getting logged in your journal, you just get a blank journal. You can make notes, and even draw pictures in it. The text is searchable.

Sharing journals would be a thing. There'd be people who would just make utilitarian notes purely to keep track of the quest objectives. Others might treat it like a diary, writing in character. You'd have some pretty decent boatmurdered style journals I expect.

@BeAware I can be planning on driving home from work all day, thinking about it as I take my exit, then complete blow past the store and remember just as I'm pulling into my driveway. I should try the google maps thing though, put the store in when I think I need to go there just to remind me.

It'd be super weird if I bought a used car from some one and they asked me if they could follow me around.

It'd also be super weird for a stranger to ask to follow me around writing down the things I put into my cart at the grocery store.

If I called a taxi, it'd be super weird if the driver asked me if he could look through my phone contacts and copy them down.
