y'all read that article about the law enforcement disinformation bots, right?

it's hard to tell if these are bots, foreign actors, or DIPSHITS

but it doesn't really matter

the guy telling you to get violent because nothing else ever works? almost always a cop

lots of slogans to choose from but there are a lot of retired people locally and I feel like they're going to care about this

made my sweetie a sign for tomorrow

he was struggling to pick just one thing to wave a sign about

today would have been a good day when I was about nine and it's a good day now

had a turkey sandwich

messed around a little in a boat

had the rest of the turkey sandwich

came home and had a big cold glass of apple juice

wore my swimsuit instead of underwear

honestly that's a pretty good yardstick all by itself, good days you mostly wear your swimsuit not your underwear

@skinnylatte I had someone insist to me last week that there were checkpoints between states and that I didn't really know what was happening here

it's bad, yes, but I also didn't get stopped when I drove to Seattle last week

@douglasvb @skinnylatte I don't think this person had ever been to the US

but he was very happy to lecture me about how things are here

strangely I didn't feel the need to share my thoughts about his country's shortcomings

because I have boundaries

people talk a lot about the futility of individual action in the face of the large-scale problems we face

but I notice Jimmy Carter thought it was worthwhile to pick up a hammer

and I think there's no reason not to work at all scales

@tim @ai6yr meanwhile people are going, we can't own our own servers, what would that be like?!?

well it would probably be a lot like the Archive of Our Own, which came out of the LJ debacle

and last time I checked that was still chugging along independently, consistently high-use despite its mess and governance issues

@seachanger yeah, he seems to have gone off the rails, even the health stuff where I'm like, sure he has a point...he's taken it to the most bonkers extreme

on the other hand, all these big ego guys, you have to wonder how long they're going to actually show up for meetings with each other
