@KenSwe sadly there's no way to make a manual transmission that's as fuel efficient as a computer. 🤷

@alexander @holly not sure you know how asylum works. you only get asylum if you can prove that you're facing a credible threat in your country of origin. it's not easy.

@webhat @maswan but the US has interstate extradition, and it's pretty automatic. esp if the FBI gets involved. From a practical point, there's not safe area.

Europeans, and Brussels especially, need to start thinking about how they handle it when Americans start showing up with credible asylum claims.

@regordane @breiter @jeffjarvis it can be severe, and also, shingles. i got chicken pox in my 20s, and then got shingles *two years* later. i'm very happy vaccinations exist, and also Acyclovir. thank the gods for Acyclovir.

@breiter @regordane @jeffjarvis I *kind of* disagree with saying measles probably won't kill you, in that it has that special power to basically do a wipe on your existing immune system. measles is fascinating and horrifying. it might not kill you at once, but it can change the course of your potentially shorted life and healthspan. it's a naaasty bug.
