This is the biggest problem with games that use stat points. You have to already have experience in order to assign the points in the first place, and you can only get experience by being burned by a bad assignment. In this Skyrim was a much better implementation.

I looked it up because I wanted to try one. It does look kind of tempting as a bread-thing.

I did some searching on the internet, but the only link I found is this one "https://gizmodo.com/that-viral-photo-of-roundmeal-macaroni-and-beef-product-1846980589" which refers to the Henton's images we're seeing here, and they're apparently Photoshopped by "Alan Wagner".

That does look kind of nice. But unfortunately I've heard it's not a real product.

The Fandom wiki does seem to be something of a blight. Even when they're empty they crowd the search results, they're filled with ads, they're wayy to slow even while empty. Just awful in every way.

I do get that people make their own instances, but those instances share posts and images to each other. So each new instance adds additional strain onto every other existing instance; especially if you're on an instance that sees a larger portion of the network.

As I understand it, the global feed is based off of which instances users are subscribed to in your current instance, so on smaller instances users won't even be aware that large parts of the network exist.

Having more people migrate to the fediverse would be great. Though I do hope it comes paired with more optimizations to the software, since it's not reasonable to expect the instances to keep adding hardware to maintain a reasonable user experience.

That's where I stopped too. None of the endings of citizen sleeper are particularly satisfying though.

My problem with the gardener ending is that there wasn't anything to *do*, no next step. You're basically stuck there, with no one outside knowing where you are and no way out. Plus, the fact that the gardener doesn't think to leave the choice open makes me think they wouldn't be especially thoughtful and pleasant company for the rest of eternity.

There's another big problem but that would be going into spoiler territory.

There's no point blaming LLMs for what people do. If your HR department is incompetent and dysfunctional, then your company as a whole, is incompetent and dysfunctional; or else upper management would have reigned in HR by this point.

Here's another disturbing thought. You work at a company where HR and the other departments are dysfunctional but only your department is filled with capable and sane people? No. If all the other departments are obviously incompetent, your department is not the sole exception, you just don't see it.

It does kind of seem like that. I'm not sure what kind of Israeli response would satisfy some people? Possibly the only one that would satisfy is if Israel simply does nothing and removes all the guards and just lets Hamas rampage.

I keep thinking about the parallels between Gaza and Berlin in WW2. Hitler had less votes in his election than Hamas did in their last election and both of them had cancelled elections by that point.

We didn't expect the Allies to drop leaflets, give people several days to evacuate and supply water and power to German civilians. Why is this different? I've seen people point to things as evidence where the only source is the "Hamas Press Office", why are we taking their word on things?

I'm still upset that Python 3 broke Python 2.7 compatibility, I've still got systems built and running Python 2.7 and I always will.
