I never used PlexAmp, so can't say anything about it, but I switched over this year. It works a charm, on par with plex, at least for me.

But the main reasons I switched are:

- Plex not working when the internet is down. All my media is on my local network, why do I need internet to watch it:
- Plex definitely saving my media consumption history. As shown by them sending mails to everyone saying what their friends did.
- Local media seems less and less a priority for plex.

Seems the bigots and trolls are attacking me. Haven't seen this much homophobia in a very long time. But it was just so stereotypical that it's just comical. All banned and reported of course.

@aral Powerline is still pretty slow then? I went to the trouble of installing ethernet to the router and I get a full gbit, so around 100MiB/s.

Also, I do think society owes its people, just like people owe their society.
