I'm following the NYPD manhunt for the suspect in the murder of the UnitedHealthcare CEO and two thoughts just keep ringing through my mind:
1) How are media and political types shocked at the public's response to the killing?
2) If and when they do catch the killer, I feel like things are going to get MUCH worse for "the establishment" in the court of public opinion and action.
I don't condone what he did but it's not hard to read the tea leaves on where this is all heading.
Utterly fascinating to me that when South Korean law enforcement realized they were being played as pawns, their leadership simply ordered them to depart the capital and they complied.
Lie until even you believe it—that’s the real secret of lying. —Holly Black
Yeah, because I mean historians surely would've preferred to call it the "Tulsa Non-Race-Based Massacre of 1921" but you know, peer pressure and too many hyphens made them call it what it was.
Jesus Christ, THESE people and the shameless lying they do. 🙄
Never forget that around the third week of April 2020, when COVID deaths in the U.S. had exploded to 50,000, our sitting president discussed with his son-in-law Jared Kushner, the potential benefits to just letting people in "blue" states die of COVID.
Seeing how someone handles a legitimate crisis should tell you everything you need to know about them.
Yep... Bullying and shaming a tired fifteen-year-old homeless girl for falling asleep in your court room during a field trip is JUST what people need from a judge. 🙄
How is it legal for law enforcement to endorse a political candidate by standing around him in uniform at a political press conference held in a public building?
Turns out in Michigan, it's not. I wonder if anybody's going to do anything about it and hold the offenders accountable?
Did the Livingston County Sheriff's Office violate the law by hosting Trump?
For those of you in the medical profession I have nothing but respect for what you do. You're the best of us.
But you should know when we screw up our courage to come see you with a problem, getting the $200 shrug when the tests come back negative just makes us feel embarrassed and foolish for wasting your time.
Then we take the symptoms back home to wait until they either go away or become more acute.
I don't want compensation or another credit monitoring service that I have to watch for their screw-up. I want them to no longer be allowed to collect or store my data. PERIOD.
I'm thinking of getting a lawyer involved and would appreciate any insight or feedback you have on consumer data protection rights and responsibilities. I'm old, ornery and have the free time for a new hobby I guess.
We have enough trouble with cyber-crime, we don't need these idiots helping them.
For the second time in six months I just received a letter notifying me that a company has had a data breach and my information was compromised.
This time it was Ticketmaster; A company I haven't done business with in over 15 years. Earlier this year it was Loan Depot who we've never done business with.
Why do we allow companies to retain our information and gather new information about us once they've shown they can't properly safeguard it?
