The most vulnerable Americans will be forced to stay in the United States and endure whatever additional hardships coming from the government.

Other countries don't want and are unlikely to accept people from here who don't have an independent source of income and those who don't have a skill that a country may want or need.

The majority of seniors, even if able bodied, can't move. Disabled adults, children & their caregivers can't move.

Do we, all U.S. citizens, want "this" to stop? I think we do, but what are we willing to do, or even try to do, to make it stop.

The quickest non-violent way is to remove their access to our money. Yes, it's ours.

1) Don't file a 2024 tax return & stop having fed income tax deducted from your salary

2) Withdraw ALL your deposits from ALL banks & credit unions. Take your cash out and use money orders. Yes, it's inconvenient, but so is this coup

The men/women in Congress who are "afraid" to vote or speak out against Trump are the same ppl who gave him the power to go after them & they are the same ppl who can take that power away via the impeachment process.

If GOP in Congress believe he's going too far, and some of them do, then they can stop him.

The real question is, why won't they? It must be bec they are afraid of each other. They can't trust their peers to follow through. They other reason - they like what he's doing

@GottaLaff Not all of us can participate in protest marches. Some of us don't have money to donate to important causes. There are many things we can't do, but there are also many things each of us CAN do.

Please take a look at this list of non-violent actions to fight fascism and authoritarianism. Pick things you can do. Nothing is too small or inconsequential because when each of us does one thing, it adds up and will make a difference.

If "we" aren't willing to sacrifice some of our creature comforts to resist fascism & authoritarianism, we have already lost & we should just admit it.

We have the most important tool necessary to turn what's happening in this country on its head. Our money.

@FantasticalEconomics Of course this was another gift SCOTUS gave Trump. They essentially made bribery for political favors legal. Trump will just use a pass thru so he doesn't personally receive the money until after he grants the favors

@persagen I'll be 71 in 2 wks. I'm going to estimate that I became an avid user of the public library system beginning about 10-12 yo. I would walk the 5 miles or so to the library returning the books I had checked out then always leaving with another stack to carry home.

Not once, as a child & never as an adult did the library offer a reading (or watching) section on pornography.

The men trying to make these rules are the ones who sit alone in a dark theater watching it. They are deviants

Over the span of 70 yrs, I have never been deprived of my Constitutional rights of Life, Liberty & the Pursuit of Happiness as a result of something done in this country by an immigrant.

My rights ARE being deprived as a result of laws & decisions made by GOP politicians.

I have never worried that my income, my healthcare or my home will be taken away by an immigrant, with the exception of immigrants like Elon Musk.

The danger I feel is from white christian nationalists, not #immigrants.

I lost track of this in my timeline, but saved it to my reading list. Others may want to do the same.
