@cadusilva I have too few UK users, so the OSA does not apply here. (metalhead.club is hosted in Germany).

But the situation for UK instances is ... terrible :S afaik some have already been shut down?

#mastoadmin recommendation: There's an AI spamming instance, "mastodon.arell.ai". I recommend to block it.

It just consists of hundreds of AI accounts spamming the Fediverse 🙄.

With Mastodon v4.4.0 instance owners can enable HTTP referrers. That means:

If somebody clicks a link on a Mastodon post (e.g. to a news article), the link target owner (such as the news site operator) can see that a user from that instance has visited their website.

They do _only_ get the instance domain (e.g. metalhead.club). No information about the user!

I've enabled this setting, because I am sure that it will increase awareness of Mastodon's existence. 💪

Aber wäre es Vllt möglich, zumindest auch Alternativen anzubieten? Beispielsweise einen Threema Channel oder Signal Channel, falls es technisch möglich ist?

Das wäre ein gutes Signal.
