Ich glaube, ich habe sowas noch nie gesehen und bin neugierig, ob das gibt.

Gestern habe ich nach Ethernet-Kabeln gesucht, heute nach einer PDU.

Ich hätte gerne 5-10 Ports für eine 19" Rackmount PDU. Am besten Schuko-Stecker. Und das besondere: Sie soll über HTTP Calls, Telnet oder SNMP schaltbar sein - jeder Ausgang einzeln.

Es geht um Testautomatisierung. Vielleicht hat ja jemand von euch Erfahrung damit und kann ein günstiges Produkt empfehlen, das genau das tut. Messfunktion und ähnliches ist nicht wichtig.

If the technology is ready and it can be self-hosted - maybe it's worth considering such filters for Mastodon as well. Some jurisdictions might require it sooner of later.

In case you're wondering why metalhead.club was offline for an hour yesterday: We ran out of storage on the Mastodon DB filesystem.

That was because I underestimated the effect of deleting data of dead instances and removed remote accounts. There's "tootclt accounts cull" for that.

... Which results in a lot of removed database records. Which again results in a way bigger diff of more than 180 GB on the filesystem layer.

Usually that's not a problem - except for the case when you use snapshots on your filesystem. Changing 180 GB effectively means _adding_ 180 GB, which filled the primary storage.

Well. I keep on learning that lesson again and again 😅

Ein Hoch auf #openstreetmap @openstreetmap !

Mein zukünftiges Zuhause war mit seiner Adresse auf Openstreetmap noch nicht zu finden. Aber kein Problem! Hab es einfach auf der Karte eingezeichnet. War ne Sache von 2 Minuten.

Mach Google mal klar, dass da irgendwo im Neubaugebiet nun eine neue Wohnanlage steht - ... nicht so einfach und vor allem nicht schnell. Klar kann ich einen Marker auf der Karte setzen und dann "Ort hinzufügen" wählen. Dann aber nur als Punkt - ich kann nicht selbst zeichnen und auch keine Metadaten eintragen.

Openstreetmap hat sich schon wieder bewährt! Und da auch Post/DHL das nutzen, findet der Postbote uns hoffentlich.

This is a reminder to make your public posts searchable in Mastodon. By default they cannot be found by others and are hidden from their search results.

To make them visible to others on the search page, go to your Mastodon settings, choose "Public Profile", then "Privacy and Reach" and tick the "Include public posts in search result" check box 😊👍

Of course there is no urgent need to do this, but it might make the Mastodon search much more valuable to others!

Ich habe über eine Formularseite der DKB Unterlagen eingereicht und nun bekomme ich an meine Email Adresse eine Fehlermeldung vom Outlook Server der Bank.

Mein Mailserver hätte den DKB Server nicht autorisiert, Emails unter meiner Domain zu schicken.

Das ist korrekt.

Das soll auch so sein.

Sieht so aus, als hätte die DKB die Unterlagen mit meiner Mailadresse an sich selbst geschickt und mich als Absender gefälscht.

Bleibt festzuhalten: Tom's Mailserver gut. DKB IT naja. 🤷♂️
