@stux The excellent "Ted Lasso" had an episode with this: Jamie: It's so stupid. I should have been more careful. I should have picked a stronger password or something. Keeley: Oh, no. Don't tell me your password was "password," Jamie. Jamie: Yeah. Well, to be fair, I did think I'd fool 'em 'cause I spelled it with two S's. https://lassoism.com/Ted-Lasso-quote.php?id=863
Title popped into my head this morning - I think Steve Martin should be the only human in the main cast and we go from there. ONLY MUPPETS IN THE BUILDING
@brunoph@polpo@severud Reminded of a pic I saw of a 1U chassis labeled as a POE switch. Opened up, it turned out to be another smaller switch and POE injector cabled up to feed the “front panel.”
@horse Oh it's absolutely more complicated than just "keep your password". And I think it may be a setting from my hospital, rather than Epic. But this is ranting on the internet with some Top Insights (those letters may not be in the right order), not writing an coherent engineering statement.
Once again, an unnecessary periodic password change from Epic's "MyChart" and once again I want to print out a copy of the part of NIST Special Publication 800-63B saying that periodic password changes are BAD and nail it to their office door.
@horse Wow! Okay, hanging drywall together is absolutely next-level. Nice thing about furniture assembly is that a lot of it can be done single-handed so it's easy for one person to tap out for a break. Drywall, though, not so much.
@hacks4pancakes Given the turnaround speed I expect the full response to the threat was Dragos saying "Hold my beer AND GET THE FUCKIN ESPRESSO MACHINE FIRED UP WE'RE GONNA WRITE SOME STUFF."
@horse@hacks4pancakes I’ve seen those but not used them. It looks like it might be too bulky for something like a 1-gang device box but if there’s room, very useful.
@hacks4pancakes Fuuuuck. That's annoying. Good luck. For the most part, people will use the two sets of screws on a duplex receptacle to handle feeding things downstream. If the USB ones have stranded leads, be careful as I've found splicing stranded to solid with wirenuts to be challenging at times. (Easy for the twisting of the wirenut to pull the stranded part up into the spring so the solid wire isn't making great connection. Putting a little s curve in the solid wire before laying the stranded wire along it can help a lot)
Oh god, the horror of realizing that you've got term len set to 0 (which means, no pagination), and you just typed "show connection" instead of "show connection count". I guess I'll go get another cup of tea while this spews all over my screen.
