A thought just hit me. Since ChromeOS isn't technically running a WM, I'm going to try to install Windowmaker. That would be awesome if I could get the dock to work.

I sometimes read articles about how people are leaving Twitter for BlueSky. It makes me a bit sad because I'm really rooting for Mastodon and ActivityPub.

But then again, I'm reminded of the IM wars of the 00's: AOL vs ICQ vs MSN. Do you know what survived those three services? XMPP, called Jabber back then. Fucking IRC, a technology that turned 38 years this year.

You know why? Because open protocols are not controlled by a company deciding whether or not a product is profitable or not.

@triptych Resin involves handling a bunch of chemicals and often requires some sort of ultrasonic or chemical cleaner, it is not so newbie friendly. FDM 3D-printing is easier and cheaper to start with, especially if you get a self levelling printer or an accessory such as BLTouch.

Got to pick up some old DVDs from my dad, some classics such as Inner space, Short Circuit, Serial Mom, Lawnmower Man and a bunch of Mel Brooks classics. I'm in full ripping mode now to fill up the Plex library

@ShaulaEvans Education is where you teach facts, history and common sense. Indoctrination is where you teach ideology, imprint your beliefs onto others and forces biases, bigotry and personal world views as facts.
