I got a call from a 202 number (Washington DC). I answered it, hoping I could tell a politician to eat my entire ass, but it was just a telemarketer asking if I was interested in selling my in-laws' house
@HG there's always tons to do in The Mission, but it's getting more and more gentrified. The Sunset is worth it for all the various Asian foods. If you go across The Bay, there's a whole-ass pinball museum in Alameda, almost all of which are playable. Berkeley is great. For the outdoors, go to Point Reyes, although that's way more fun around Christmas, when the Elephant Seals arrive
@HG@skinnylatte also I've rarely partied in Napa, but there's a Spanish castle in Calistoga with wine tours, and the tour guide we had was 100% the guy in Futurama with boneitis
@HG@skinnylatte 2. Omg okay, this is where I miss living in Vallejo. There are lots of state parks in Napa and Sonoma; I'm a fan of Sugarloaf Ridge and Robert Louis Stevenson. Mt Diablo in Contra Costa (East Bay). Mt Tamalpais in Marin. Any/all of Golden Gate NRA; I really like hiking to all the old military posts, nike sites, and bunkers there.
I once had people fly cross country to meet my cat because of a dumb Star Trek podcast.I live in Northern California. It’s p. nice.I have an unused graduate degree in geography, but please don’t ask me to name capitals.I’m a professional financial counselor in real life. One of these days I’ll set up a masto account for that. Dad bod, but also a dad.I infrequently post boring nonsense at @BeigeBeeI frequently post nonsense about Star Trek here.
