Do you think that people who don’t know about the bridge would give a fsck about it - taking into account that their public posts are visible on instances of lemmy, friendica, pleroma,… and they don’t know about it?
Isn’t the way this bridge to bluesky is implemented exactly the way that another service on the fedi should be implemented?
Is it because bluesky is a commercial instance?

@the_roamer @zatnosk @snarfed.org @activitypubblueskybridge @fedidevs @fediversenews Undecided on this but we had bridges / gateways to a lot of federated networks on the usenet and users did not consider this a problem with consent in principle. You don’t have to use it and your instance can block it.
However, blueky could easily become one of the too big to block instances on the fediverse, but with a different culture concerning moderation (and archiving), and that may become a problem.

This is a new one for me. I have sweaty hands right now, that’s true, but I'm not sure whether this is enough to trigger liquid detection.

@jwildeboer Do you know that there are a lot of Android ereaders with regular epaper screen?
So using an app does not mean reading on the phone or transferring / converting the ebook.
I am very happy with two devices by boox that are running apps connected to my library account, but there are other companies, too.
It‘s still android but I find that tolerable for pressreader/libby/kindle et al.

I wrote two python scripts using #LLM:
1) search for something in my IMAP mail and send the result to a well documented target API that has a lot of examples online.
The resulting script was useful and did nearly run from the start.
2) call a well documented API that has little example code. This was more difficult, #bing / #chatgpt made up methods that could have existed but didn't.
Still it saved time, it felt like debugging code of a newb. The code is spaghetti of course and to be refactored.

What I don't see in the code, yet, is graceful error handling, but I guess that needs more understanding of the intention the code has.
I think I spotted the intent to do some sanitation and I think that this is something that LLM _could_ learn in the future - if only we provide it with good examples.
Which we don't :-)
So LLM will only generate code that is, at a maximum, as good as the code (and examples) programmers of specific languages write.
I'll definitely have to look into #copilot..
