@jwildeboer Do you know that there are a lot of Android ereaders with regular epaper screen?
So using an app does not mean reading on the phone or transferring / converting the ebook.
I am very happy with two devices by boox that are running apps connected to my library account, but there are other companies, too.
It‘s still android but I find that tolerable for pressreader/libby/kindle et al.

Which ebook reader that I can buy in Germany is directly compatible with #overdrive? Meaning that I can use it to borrow ebooks from the #Munich library directly on the device, just using my library card login details. I don't want to go via app on my phone or computer to download and transfer. I see that the #Kobo readers do this, but they say that Germany is not supported. https://help.kobo.com/hc/en-us/articles/360017677053-Borrow-eBooks-from-the-public-library-using-your-Kobo-eReader
