Also, as Signal servers are centralized and not self-hostable, a phone connecting to Signal servers would be acting like a beacon in certain countries where this app is either banned or seriously monitored.
Watching memes online and doom scrolling isn't uncommon, at an upper layer of the networking model so harder to monitor, and could be attributed to brainrot instead of malicious activities

Memes are so complex nowadays that I wouldn't be surprised if some of these were used as a "secret messaging media", hidden in plain sight, for spies or undercover agents alike :neocat_thinking: These could be very hard to spot in the wild among the "normal" memes and it would be hard to identify the person they are destined to.
