@hellomiakoda@pdx.social @jima@mspsocial.net @bryanredeagle@beige.party Actually there are dodgy mains adapters that plug straight into those 13A outlets (which if on a ring main are protected only by a 32A fuse or breaker) that might not have any built in fuse. Not good!

@kinsale42@mstdn.games @selzero@syzito.xyz @gme@bofh.social Except if you actually visit Oxford you recognise that they used the same five locations over and over again.

Silver Street and the mathematical bridge are similarly overused for Ludwig. It's unlikely they'd film the Grafton Centre and its environs.

@grunfink@comam.es @justine@snac.smithies.me.uk Something that's bothering me (and probably Justine) is that I have a feeling that when a toot arrives via a relay, that "boost" should be turned into an ordinary post, so the action of relaying is invisible.

As Justine has found out, if it's not "invisible" you can follow a FeedBuzz tag as an ordinary user and see exactly the same benefits.

I've found out what relaying is useful for: outgoing distribution of your toots. The FediBuzz server doesn't follow you back, so it doesn't receive your toots to send on to its other users.

@bob_dowling@mathstodon.xyz @cstross@wandering.shop An inkjet is great if you print a few times a week, but if you leave it idle any longer you risk the print head clogging. For infrequent use a monochrome laser can't be beaten. I have a second hand HP4250N (with duplexer) which is built like a tank and goes from doing nothing for months to printing out half a ream at once without complaint. I thought it was faulty once, but a new (off brand) toner cartridge fixed it.

@grunfink@comam.es @justine@snac.smithies.me.uk Would it be possible for the relay user not to be seen to have boosted my posts? (ie. It passes on the posts but doesn't add itself?)

@justine@snac.smithies.me.uk I notice that the current version of #pachli doesn't stop requesting the timeline when it refreshes. What I'll miss when I eventually migrate will be following hashtags.
