I sincerely think that is trait of the :fediverse:, getting to know amazing people.
Usually one just get to read great people on books, magazines or newspapers, here we get to interact and know each other.
You see people like dansup or yourself being awesome and sharing your successes and misfortunes.

Pro-tip:
You can "forward" a post to someone by DM, just reply the original post, strip the user handle and add the person's handle changing the privacy to DM.

My answer is no because this instance is blocking Threads.
A few reasons:
- Too many users, it's not technically possible to enable federation.
- No moderation from Threads, enabling hate groups and doing nothing would left me with the moderation tasks.
- Moral conflict with the company, enabling genocide is not ok with me.
- Too much centralization, really we don't have much voice on how a private company uses the ActivityPub, I'm from the original ideal of decentralized networking.

How much resources does Calckey requires?
Personally I feel somewhat against it because it doesn't play nice with the language of the post.

For the new ones on the :fediverse:
1.- :mastodon: is not the :fediverse: check all the cool alternatives and choose the one that fits you (can be more than one).
2.- Don't worry about Followers / Following people, you can always be found in the federated timeline.
3.- Be kind and add descriptions to images and videos so this place stay inclusive for everyone.
4.- Have fun and don't over-invest time here, life is more than social network.

The issue I see it's centralization, we all know what happen when one "garden" get them all.
We should encourage decentralization, we already tried the convenience of centralized services.
