@JakobFel I used to use Brave but switched to Vivaldi because I needed to test it in order to be able to reccomand it to my friends who used Opera GX. If you didn't know, Vivaldi is developed by the same folks who developed Opera and Opera GX before either was sold off to a Chinese spyware company, and Vivaldi works and looks very similar to Opera GX and I wanted my friends to switch over
@nostalgiafolder Maybe not the best, but my favorite is Brawl. Subspace Emissary was perfect for bonding time with my eldest younger brother. I'd be cool to run through it again with my youngest brother.
Anyone know of an adblock that actually works? AdGuard, Ublock Origin Lite, and Vivaldi's built-in ad blocking altogether no longer works to block youtube ads. Aside from just not wanting to see ads, blocking ads prevents impulse buying.
@Gammitin I also just realized that is the same graphics as what is in my Dell Inspiron 7000. I'd like to try my hand at getting Redhat 5 or 6 running on it
@JakobFel oh yeah, have a few AA and AAA batteries on hand if you want to test out battery powered items. Maybe C, D, and 9v too if you think you'll be looking at older and/or bulkier battery powered items
@JakobFel If you are or want to get into old MacBooks, you can pick up a USB-C to Magsafe 1 adaptor (I believe they also make a version for Magsafe 2) to use with a 65w USB-C laptop charger to test power on. MacBooks from 2006 to 2014 can still be used second hand since they can't be locked to an Apple ID like the newer ones can
@JakobFel If you are or want to get into collecting old iPods, have a battery bank and a 30-pin charger (or something like a USB-C to 30-pin adapter with an appropriate cable) handy to test power on. If the iPod powers on to a completely white screen, HDD error, or a broken LCD, I would pass on it. If it shows a charging icon or a power on, then you can probably pick it up to take home and wipe with iTunes. iPod 5th Gen is the sweet spot when it comes to classic iPod imo
@JakobFel also, when looking at old tech that is rechargable, check for the spicy pillow (bulging battery). If there is one present, only go for it if the battery can be easily replaced and the battery hasn't caused damage by it expanding.
@JakobFel if you're ever looking for old computers, specifically laptops, have a 65w universal laptop charger on hand when out searching. As an experienced recycling center visitor, having one of those handy with multiple charger tips is very handy for testing power on. And a recycling center is like an industrial garage sale.

@foone I loaded a PDF of a "for Dummies" book that was scanned in 2017 in Adobe Reader 6 with no issues on Windows 98, so I'd imagine whatever you're trying to load up in Acrobat on 95 will work just fine, provided you have plenty of ram.
@infinitemetal Dragon Ball Evolution, the American movie adaptation of Dragon Ball. I have yet to see it for myself but everyone who has seen it says it's the worst Dragon Ball related piece of content. It was so bad that I heard it's why Akira Toriyama returned to the series with Dragon Ball Super
