@captainarcee I like the Mojave for what it is, and it IS technically more in line with the tone of the originals, but 3's atmosphere is just unbeatable IMO. Closest we've come to that atmosphere is the Toxic Valley in 76.
And according to the rumors that predicted the Oblivion remaster, a Fallout 3 remaster is also in the works. In the leak, it was slated for a release a year or two after the Oblivion remaster, so who knows!
I've been replaying Fallout 3 on my Steam Deck lately. I always loved that game, but having taken such a long break from it, revisiting it years later is reminding me of how special that game was to me. I'm one of the few who generally prefers it over New Vegas, actually, though I can admit that New Vegas is a better RPG overall.
@captainarcee If you're down for using Chromium browsers, you can't beat Brave. I think there was only a single incident where their ad block missed something. Plus, it's downright incredible for your privacy.
That said, I also recommend trying some privacy clients for YT as well, as they block ads for you. Freetube on PC and either Newpipe or Grayjay on Android (if you have Android). Freetube also has an Android port but its UI is definitely more desktop-friendly.
@captainarcee Lot of great advice, thanks! I bookmarked each post so I can return to that advice a little closer to when I try to check them out :doge_cool:
@Oregon_Pacifist Is there any possible way you could host a 2.0 of it on a dedicated provider like RG is? Considering how little it cost you to self-host it, if there is a professional hosting platform that could run it, that could be a possible future avenue if we find a way to bring in a little bit of passive income for it.
@captainarcee It has some coding in it but it's designed to be pretty easy to design games with minimal coding. Back in the day, it was literally a drag-and-drop design where you only needed to get into the code itself if you're making a more advanced game. Not sure if it still works that way or not, though!
@captainarcee Has he used GameMaker Studio? I used to use GameMaker (pre-Studio) for learning game logic, it seemed like a pretty decent one to use as a beginner.
In your opinion, what is the most underappreciated Star Wars game?
For me, I'd have to say either Galactic Battlegrounds or Rogue Squadron 3: Rebel Strike.
Galactic Battlegrounds may have been an Age of Empires clone, but it was massive amounts of fun regardless.
And as for Rogue Squadron 3, everyone points to the first two games but most either hate or ignore the third one. I found it to be very ambitious and it had great mission design!
Sick news! If you haven't played around with ReactOS, definitely look into it. At the very least, it's a fun throwback to the Windows 9x era, but it has also come a very long way over the years!
@captainarcee@Oregon_Pacifist I actually felt like Mania's take on the zone was a lot more challenging overall, because of the addition of those chemicals that mix to bounce you to different heights :guilded_lul:
