@captainarcee my desk is reversible. I had it set up the opposite way in my last place :guilded_dab:
But yeah it’s great. Lots of space!

Back in 2024 I lived in Northern Maine. There, I had a basement where I set up my work/ gaming/ streaming room. It was literally an underground game bunker.
In my new house, I’ve finally finished setting up a new game bunker and it’s even better than before. Check out the video (don’t mind the clutter on the other side of the basement)!
With any luck, I’ll be streaming again this coming Sunday 🤞
This is where the rhythm game genre peaked, and nobody can convince me otherwise.

The Church Arcade is a new arcade that opened earlier this year in Duquesne, PA and it looks amazing.
It’s a former Catholic church built in 1901 but has recently been repurposed as a retro gaming and pinball establishment. You pay a fee at the door and all machines are on free play.
The interior looks mighty impressive and dramatic! I really want to check out this place in person one day.
@captainarcee I should play Policenauts one day :luigithink:
If you’ve got a SEGA Saturn, I would recommend looking into getting a Fenrir Duo. It lets you load games from an SD card and has better compatibility than SAROO :saturn:
This 32 minute video is totally worth a watch! :saturn:

Limited hardware capabilities breeds innovation and talent. Developers used to do incredible things with relatively weak hardware. Take the backgrounds in Batman (NES) for example. Smooth animation and fantastic use of the limited color palette.
Compare that to modern developers on current systems. Virtually unlimited potential but what do we get? Un-optimized code, tons of bugs at launch and bloated hardware & storage requirements.

This is how much custom CSS I’ve applied to Retro Gaiden to get it to look the way it does. It’s kind of nuts.

@captainarcee happy birthday! :sonicdance: :megaman_dance:
@captainarcee Awesome! I love that cartridge :snes:
Yesterday was the 6 year anniversary of the “slap heard ‘round the world.” :guilded_lul:
The Genesis/ Mega Drive version of Virtua Fighter 2 lacks the series’ signature 3D polygonal models, replaced by 2D sprites.
However, it controls surprisingly similar to the original game and was a good way to scratch the VF2 itch back in the day if you didn’t have a Saturn.
@gamingonlinux and nothing of value was lost.

ICYMI. This is awesome, and works perfectly. I just played a match in the @Vivaldi browser :quake:
Rest in Peace, legends. :guilded_salute:
