If you’re like me and prefer your TV to be a regular, non-smart display, there aren’t very many options for new TVs.

This is where the Komodo line from Sceptre comes in. They sell 1080p “dumb” TVs at an affordable price. They have minimal input lag too, so they work well for gaming.

@Oregon_Pacifist saving this for later. I have external Chromecast and Roku devices so I don't need a Smart TV. My current TVs however have awful color space and modern movies look awful on them, especially during darker scenes. They're inexpensive TVs from the early 2010s so I can't fault them too hard.

@captainarcee These Komodo TVs probably look better than your current TV but if you want my recommendation, I’d say be on the lookout for a gently used Panasonic plasma. I have 3 of them

@Oregon_Pacifist that tv you linked supports AV and Component In, which I find to be rare on modern TVs. And RCA/Optical audio out, so you can use it with existing surround sound systems

@captainarcee true lol. I had to buy a special, 3-stud wide mount for the 60” plasma. It’s over 80 lbs

@Oregon_Pacifist yeah, I think my heavy display of choice will stay being CRTs 😂
