@saucerlost I understand people have got things to say, and there’s a lot of stuff going on in the world. I just try to keep the Retro Gaiden public timeline free of political hot takes 😄
@JakobFel Those games don't run well on modern Windows computers even with the efforts made to get them to work, so the only way to run them well now is via Proton on a linux machine or use an XP machine to run them. I prefer the latter since modding efforts on linux is still very early on
@JakobFel I agree. I like NV more conceptually in the RPG sense but I much prefer FO3's Capital Wasteland over The Mojave since I never really cared for Wild Wild West or Spaghetti Western themes. I just wish instead of rereleasing Skyrim they would've brought FO3 and NV over to the new generation of hardware and consoles.

@gloriouscow I would start a new thread for a project only if it's been longer than a week since the last update on a project. Otherwise, I don't see an issue in how long the tread is if all the posts on a project are within the same day.
@Oregon_Pacifist Never played but I did watch plenty of gameplay on Twitch when the game came out, I don't remember much about the story but the gameplay was very fun to watch. At one point you get to play as a robotic dog and that was my favorite part.
@GamingWolf@rootcompute Also, turns out the Moldy Sandwich was added in honor of Moldy Shmoldy, a Youtuber who plays NNF and loves playing Bologna Tony. His logo is on top of the Moldy Sandwich
@GamingWolf@rootcompute Yeah, I saw that while watching a friend of mine play some Bologna Tony runs, I can't wait to unlock him. I only have regular and Squid Tony unlocked.
I know its not retro but it has that early internet vibe going with the art style. Its like Pachinko but its a rouge-like with RNG where you aim a ball (Nubby) at pegs and each time Nubby hits the peg, the number on it halves until the number hits 0. Its only $4.99 on steam and theres a pre-release demo you can check out too if you wanna check out the core mechanics of the game before you buy.
@rootcompute most relatable statement I've read today. Hate when I forget to pause/cancel Amazon Prime and I see a notification of a charge from Amazon in my email.
@GamesMissed I work on old computers where wearing latex or nitrile gloves is almost a must since old desktops tend to have sharp edges on the case so that is good to know. Thank You!
@GamesMissed i read PDFS mostly of scanned manuals and books and I just want something that I can read those on away from a desktop especially since many of those PDFs are scans of retro computer manuals
